It has been reported that three of Taylor Swift’s concerts which were due to take place in Austria have been cancelled because of a terror attack which was foiled. This news comes after countless Swifties had planned to see the “Shake It Off” singer on the Vienna Leg of her worldwide Eras Tour.

According to reports, the cancellation of these high-profile gigs could have dramatic financial consequences on the local businesses of Vienna which had planned ahead of time and expected the gigs to go ahead before this revelation occurred. Also, it is not just local businesses which are devastated with countless fans also heartbroken that they will not get to see their idol as expected.
Reason For Cancellation
However, safety first always and the incident has highlighted how vulnerable extremely large concerts are to terror attacks with Barracuda Music, the organisers of the event confirming that the decision was made to ensure the safety of everyone involved.

Ticket holders will be given an automatic refund within 10 working days.
Background On The Eras Tour
The Eras tour is one of the biggest world tours in recent history with it taking Taylor Swift across 5 different continents. It started on the 17th of March in 2023 in Arizona, US and it is to wrap up in Vancouver, Canada on the 8th of December 2024. When the tour is completed, it will have consisted of 149 shows, however, that maybe fewer now given these unfortunate cancellations.
